It's all about the project - Circular Weaving

I started Project Yarn to give the community of Cairns another way to explore and purchase beautiful fibres. But my love of fibre stretches far beyond the walls of my shop.

My personal collection of yarn and fibre keeps growing—mostly unintentionally! I’m always excited to learn new fibre arts, and my latest passion is circular weaving. Recently, I purchased a large supply of yarn strips and, inspired by a circular weaving book, created my first piece. When I took it off the loom, I could see exactly where I’d gone wrong—but that little mistake turned into a wonderful new cat bed!

Now that I know what to expect, I’m shutting down the computer and heading off to make another one.
