Why Project Yarn?
Project Yarn represents the creative vision and entrepreneurial drive of a Cairns-based educator and now business owner, who combined a passion for crochet, fibre arts, and teaching into a dedicated Australian yarn business.
Recognising a shortage of suppliers in Cairns, Project Yarn was founded to provide locals with access to high-quality yarns, unique fibre blends, and essential crochet supplies—right in their own community. The business aims to foster creativity, support local crafters, and offer educational opportunities and events designed for all skill levels.
